Mums Funeral The majority of you would of known her as Brenda or Nan or even Nanny, but to the privileged few, we new her as Mum. Don’t get me wrong nobody can ever be perfect, but to us she was perfect in every way. She was an amazing lady that would always be there for us, no matter the time of day, never judged, always listened and always fought our corner even if we were wrong. You could tell her anything in confidence and it would never go any further, Each one of us new that she loved us equally with no favouritism. Mum used to breed boxers and also work when we were younger and growing up So there was always puppies running around and we would all help feeding them, With the money she made from working or selling the puppies she would always save to make sure that we had a family holiday each year. As a family we would readily get positive comments of how well we were constantly turned out, this was down to mums knitting of lovely roll top extra thick jumpers the ones that used to pull your ears off when we tried to remove them, due to being slightly too small around the neck But mum never had it easy, for over 18 year she suffered with agoraphobia were she not able to leave the house, but even though she was suffering with this phobia she would never stray from her responsibilities as a mother, and never stopped looking out for us. To mum nothing was more important than family and nothing would make her more proud than having her family all around her. Mum was a very proud lady and always strived to look her very best at all times, I don’t think I had every seen her without her make up and hair done so when she began to fall ill and needed a wheel chair, it really knocked her self conference but still she would put her family first. Even when we all got married, mum would always welcome our partners into her family as one of her own. What I am trying to say and I know that I speak for my dad, brother Andrew and sisters Sharon and Julie is that we were very proud and honoured to have had you in our Lifes and we will miss you everyday But we know this is not the end mum, just the start of a new chapter, and we will all be together as a family again one day, until that day Mum rest in peace
